Terms of Service
The short version: Tillfront is business software for wholesale and retail operations in the smoke trade. You pay the agreed monthly fee, your data stays yours, we work to keep the service up and your information safe, and either side can end the arrangement. The long version follows.
1. What Tillfront is
Tillfront is web-based software for wholesale distributors and retail stores: invoicing, inventory, customer accounts, a customer ordering portal, store registers, employee time tracking, delivery routing, and excise tax record-keeping ("the Service"). The Service is provided by Tillfront ("we," "us"). By creating or using an account, you agree to these terms on behalf of your business.
2. Accounts
Accounts are set up personally by us for your business. You're responsible for the people you give logins to — owner, store, and customer-portal logins alike — and for keeping credentials confidential. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been accessed without authorization.
3. Your data is yours
Everything you put into Tillfront — your catalog, customers, invoices, sales, timesheets — belongs to your business, not to us. We use it only to run the Service for you. If you leave, ask and we will provide an export of your data in a common format, and then delete it from the live system.
4. Fees
Pricing is stated on tillfront.com or agreed with you at setup, billed monthly. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect. If an account goes unpaid, we may place it on hold — sign-in still works and your data is untouched, but the Service is paused until the account is settled.
5. Acceptable use
Use the Service for lawful business purposes. You're responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your trade — licensing, age-restricted sales, and tax obligations included. Don't attempt to breach, probe, or overload the Service, and don't use it to store or send unlawful content.
6. Your responsibilities on taxes and compliance
Tillfront computes and records figures — including excise amounts — from the rates, methods, and product details you enter. We don't supply tax rates and we aren't accountants or lawyers. Verify rates and methods with your accountant or the relevant state, and review reports before filing. You remain responsible for your business's tax filings and regulatory compliance.
7. Availability and support
We work to keep the Service available and to fix problems quickly, but no software is perfect and we don't promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Planned maintenance will be scheduled thoughtfully. Support is provided directly — reach us through the contact form at tillfront.com.
8. Disclaimers and limits on liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data — though nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Ending the arrangement
You can cancel at any time by telling us; service continues to the end of the paid period. We may suspend or end an account for non-payment or material breach of these terms, with notice where practical. Section 3 applies either way: your data is exportable on request and then deleted.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll notify account owners by email or an in-app notice at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after that date means acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict of law rules, and disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota.
